When the rain cleared about 4pm yesterday I went out on my favourite short walk- down to Grasmere Lake, up to Loughrigg terrace, back down to Rydal Water and home to White Moss via the woods.
There were very few people about, but the sheep were out in force, all looking- well "sheepish" would be a good description.
They've all just been sheared, and they look very skinny without their thick coats.They seemed to look back at me with an air of slight embarassment, not very comfortable with the new look.
