Welcome to Brockstone Grasmere Cottage! This is the view when you open the front door- just a peep inside....
Going up the stairs ahead of you.....
The main bedroom has a high beamed ceiling and a four poster bed. There are magnificent views from the windows.
The room has a small ensuite shower room.
There is a second bedroom with twin beds and a sink vanity unit, making it a great places for families to stay too.
The main bathroom has a spa bath, perfect for a relaxing soak . Over the bath is a powerful shower.
In the lounge downstairs is a cosy log burning stove. . The cottage is also warmly heated by oil central heating. We leave the stove laid ready for you to light on arrival. There are enough logs and coal for your first night. Extra logs can be bought at lots of places including Grasmere Coop, Grasmere Garden Centre, or the garage in Ambleside.
The lounge had comfy sofas, flat screen TV, CD and DVD player, and a ipod dock. There are also lots of books, jigsaws and a chess set.
We have free broadband for our guests.
The kitchen was newly installed in 2016.
The kitchen has a Smeg fridge, washer/dryer, microwave, fan oven, hob and dishwasher, and is equipped with everything you need for your holiday stay.
The dining area looks out over the Lakeland fells. It has an antique pine table and chairs.
Outside is the terrace with table and chairs. There is a barbeque stored in the garden outhouse for your use.
The views from the terrace are amazing. Photographs don't really do the view justice- at least mine don't A good photographer could take a shot which shows that you can see over Loughrigg Fell to Wetherlam and the Coniston Fells. To your right you can see Silver Howe and the hills above Grasmere, and to the left you can see Rydal Water. Here is a link to some photos showing you the view.
