Its been a perfect autumn day.
Walking the Rydal round from White Moss House- how brilliant to be able step out of the door straight on to this wonderful walk.
Up the side of White Moss to Brockstone Cottage, along the coffin road to Rydal Mount.(Wordsworth's house) Then a wander round Rydal Hall gardens- looking really good now after the restoration project has had time to bed in.
Then crossing the road at the Badger Bar, back along the lake shore, through White Moss woods and home.
Taking my time, with a stop for a cup of Earl Grey at the Rydal hall tea rooms, 2 hours very well spent!
